Fukuoka Castle Ruins will be colored spectacularly with lots of cherry blossoms of about 1000 sakura trees.
During the festival, they’ll be lit up fantastically and various events will be held. “Fukuoka Castle Sakura Festival” is beautiful day and night, so don’t miss it!

* Otaka-Yashiki-Ato and Tamon-Yagura are normally closed during night but will be open especially during the festival. Please enjoy fantastic spaces created with lights and music. Lighting-up at Sakura-En around the foundation of the castle tower is free until 6 p.m. and after that there is an admission fee.
Various events will be held at Korokan Hiroba (the old Heiwadai Stadium) during the festival.

Samurai parade dressed up like samurai warriors of Fukuoka Domain in Edo Period will march along the street from Terumo Shrine in Nishi Koen to KorokanHiroba and then perform dances including “Aratsu-no Mai” on the festival stage.
