A Delegate of SIU-Société Internationale d’Urologie (International Urological Society) visited Fukuoka for site inspection and meetings with members of Japan Urological Association from 25-27 April.

The general conference of SIU will be held in Fukuoka in September 2012, expecting 4500 members from 105 countries plus two regions.

Fukuoka was selected after heated competition with other cities in Japan and overseas, for its capability as a host of internaional convention. The world-class access efficiency, concentrated facilities for accomodation, along with the city’s good experience in handling international conventions were among the many factors that made Fukuoka the second Japanese site in SIU’s history after Tokyo (1970) .

Staff of Fukuoka Conventions & Visitors Bureau, in cooperation with JUA and congress organizing companies, are excited to work with SIU central office for a unique and successful 2012 convention!!
