“Michelin Guide Fukuoka & Saga 2014 – Special Edition″ has gone on sale on July 10.
The Michelin has published guides for other areas in Japan including Tokyo, Kansai, Hokkaido and Hiroshima before, and Fukuoka was chosen as the fifth area in Japan.
Total 489 (restaurant/ryokan/hotel) are entried in the guide and the two restaurants, Gyoten(Sushi restaurant) and Sagano(Japanese restaurant) become members of a three star restautant.
The 8 restaurants in Fukuoka are appointed as a two star restaurant, and the 34 restaurants are as a one star. Not only Japanese but French and grilled steak restaurants are also entried, and it proves that Fukuoka has various dish and sophisticated restaurants.
Among non-star restaurants, the 66 restaurants are entried as “Bib Gourmand (value-for-money)”, and the cost performance enables people to feel free to visit!
Furthermore, the unique point of the guide is that many ramen noodle (11) and udon noodle (4) restaurants are included, which are famous and popular among the local people.
When you have a chace to visit Fukuoka, please try these restaurants and enjoy the food!
