Venues that are directly related to Fukuoka’s designation as a Special Zone for Global Startups and Job Creation.
Having been selected as a special zone for job creation and global start up opportunities, Fukuoka is a fertile ground for new companies and fresh ideas. With one of the youngest populations of the major cities in Japan there are often many events and exhibitions pertaining to cultural and other creative industries such as gaming, anime, fashion, and design. For this reason having unique meeting spaces tailored to these social gatherings is essential, and there are several we are proud to call ‘uniquely Fukuokan’.
A vibrant and bustling shopping arcade where you can experience both local history and learn how Fukuokans like to party!
The Kawabata shopping arcade is a 400 meter long stretch of stores, restaurants, and the like extending through the Nakasu district in the Hakata ward of Fukuoka. As a long-standing testament to Fukuoka’s old history as a city of trade and commerce, there are many time-tested boutiques selling traditional crafts and Japanese confections.
Now, what if we told you that it is possible to rent out the whole street as a unique venue? Using this street you can hold parties and other events. As your party makes its way down you can partake of local food and drink and take in the sights of traditional Japanese performing arts in their natural element. For a traditional, exclusive, but jovial feeling, it’s hard to beat a party in Kawabata!
